Sales Engineer

Position Overview: As a Sales Engineer specializing in IT Services Sales, you will combine your technical expertise with exceptional sales acumen to bridge the gap between our clients’ technical requirements and our cutting-edge IT solutions. Working closely with the sales team, you will serve as a key technical resource throughout the sales process, providing insights, recommendations, and technical support to prospective clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong IT background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling business value propositions. This is a contracted position.


  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and effectively align our IT service offerings with their requirements.
  • Lead technical discussions with clients, conducting needs assessments and gathering detailed technical requirements.
  • Develop and deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations that showcase the unique value of our IT solutions.
  • Customize presentations and proposals to address the specific technical and business challenges faced by potential clients.
  • Provide expert-level guidance on the integration of our IT services with clients’ existing systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and communicate solutions that address complex technical challenges.
  • Support the sales team in responding to technical queries, RFPs, and RFIs with accurate and insightful information.
  • Conduct technical workshops and training sessions for clients, showcasing the features and benefits of our IT services.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our solutions remain innovative and competitive.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor on technical matters.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal technical teams, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to implementation.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • Any proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, or similar role in the IT services industry.
  • In-depth understanding of IT services and solutions, including cloud computing, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and software development.
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable terms for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with delivering technical product demonstrations and explaining value propositions to potential clients.
  • Proficiency in using sales and collaboration tools, as well as CRM software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet in client-facing situations.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and events.
